Day 1
SCHWARZENBURG – FRIBOURG 20 KM
Hiking time: 5 hrs 20 min.
The route takes you across the Sense valley, a popular recreational area and nature reserve. After the Sodbach bridge, it becomes very clear that you have crossed the cantonal border from Protestant Berne to Catholic Fribourg.
Day 2
FRIBOURG - ROMONT 28KM
Hiking time: 7 hrs 45 min.
Steeped in culture and history, the towns of Fribourg and Romont are well worth a visit. Both share many links with the pilgrimage to the shrine of St James in Compostela. On the way to Romont, you will cross the St Appoline Bridge and pass through the stunningly diverse Fribourg countryside.
