Fribourg's regional aerodrome in Ecuvillens has a 800 m-long hard runway. It mainly concentrates on training activites and powered flights.
Its hard runway and proximity to the town of Fribourg give the Fribourg regional aerodrome a dominant position as far as aeronautics in the region are concerned. Furthermore, it is equipped with a system making night flights possible.
In addition to its pilot training activities, the aerodrome provides the possibility of flying over the Three Lakes Region and of making maiden flights or parachute jumps (www.pcf.ch).
Every year, on two days in January or February, the Fribourg regional aerodrome offers its pilots the possibility of landing on the frozen lake in Schwarzsee!
